Honor Fighting Championship invaded the Holmes County fairgrounds in Millersburg, OH on Saturday night for their May the 4th Be With You MMA event. The 850 fans who packed the venue were treated to some hard hitting, action packed mixed martial arts action. Redline Radio LLC was once again on hand to cover the event as Yo Pauly, Dawgpound Daryl and Jay on the Radio called the play by play and blow by blow live on RedlineRadioLLC.com.

There were nine amateur fights on the card including two amateur title fights highlighted by HFC Amateur Welterweight Champion Lucas Mast defending his title against Cameron McIntosh in the main event.

The night began with two Amateur Heavyweights making their debuts as Drew Starner (0-1) took on fellow heavyweight Elijah Cook (1-0). Cook was aggressive from the start as he overwhelmed Starner with a flurry of punches scoring a knockout 33 seconds into the first round. It was an impressive debut victory for Cook and a gutsy performance for Starner who showed a lot of heart in his MMA debut.

Two of the nine fights ended in hands of the judges the first of which saw Amateur Welterwight Eddie Flinner (2-0) remain undefeated as he scored a unanimous decision (30-27/29-28/30-27) over Christian Emerson (0-1).

The second judges decision took place in the co-main event which was the women's Amateur Female Welterweight Championship bout between Jeslen Mischelle (4-0) and Tirzah Gunther (3-1).  Mischelle scored a hard fought unanimous decision (30-27/30-27/30-27) over the crowd favorite Gunther.  There is a link to the post fight interview with Mischelle below.

The main event did not disappoint as Amateur Welterweight Champion Lucas Mast (5-1) successfully defended his title and defeated Cameron McIntosh (6-2) via submission with a rear naked choke 52 seconds into round 3 bringing the crowd to their feet. The hometown favorite gave the crowd what they wanted to close out the night!  There is a link to the post fight interview with Mast below.
